How to use straddle mode in basket mode on FYERS?

Straddle Mode lets you create a Call + Put at the same strike in one tap from the Options Chain. It helps you quickly create a long straddle or short straddle without adding the CE and PE legs manually.

When you choose Add Buy or Add Sell on a strike, both CE and PE legs are added to your basket automatically. You can then review the order details, edit the legs if needed, and either execute or save the basket.

Steps to use Straddle Mode in Basket mode

Follow the steps below to access Straddle Mode from the Options Chain, add both legs at the same strike, and review the basket before placing the order.

FYERS App

  1. Open Options Chain and turn on Basket mode.
  2. Tap your desired strike.
  3. Choose Add Buy for a long straddle or Add Sell for a short straddle.
  4. While adding the legs, add the lot size and set the order type.
  5. Tap the text below, for example, “2 legs added →”.
  6. Add all the required order details.
  7. Edit each leg if needed by tapping on any added leg.
  8. Review Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges.
  9. Tap Execute to place the straddle or Save to keep it in your basket.

FYERS Web

  1. Open Options Chain and enable Basket mode.
  2. Select your preferred strike.
  3. Choose Add Buy for a long straddle or Add Sell for a short straddle.
  4. Review the order details of the two legs added.
  5. Add all the required order details.
  6. Edit each leg if needed by clicking on any added leg.
  7. Review Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges.
  8. Click Execute to place the straddle or Save to keep it in your basket.

Tip: Choose actively traded strikes, set realistic limit prices, and review Funds req in the order window before placing.

Notes

Once placed, the legs are sent to the exchange sequentially in an order that requires lower margin.

If the straddle is not created, make sure Basket mode is turned on and you tapped Add Buy or Add Sell on a strike. If a leg stays pending, move the Limit price closer or switch to Market. If funds are insufficient, add funds and review the footer again.
