How to use straddle mode in basket mode on FYERS?

Straddle Mode lets you create a Call + Put at the same strike in one tap. From the Options Chain, pick a strike and choose Add Buy or Add Sell—both legs are created automatically and added to your basket for quick review.

Use the order window to adjust quantities, prices, and product type, check Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges, then Execute or Save.

Explanation

  • Scope: FYERS App → Options Chain → basket mode .
  • Auto-creation: Selecting Add Buy or Add Sell at a strike creates both CE and PE legs for that strike instantly.
  • Immediate review: The complete straddle appears in your basket, ready to edit (Market/Limit, price, lots/amount, tag) before placing.
  • Execution: Once placed the legs are send to the exchange sequentially in an order that requires less margin.

Steps 

  1. Open Options Chain and turn on basket mode.
  2. Tap your desired strike, then choose Add Buy (long straddle) or Add Sell (short straddle).
  3. Tap the banner (e.g., “2 legs added →”) to open the order window.
  4. (Optional) Edit each leg: set Market/Limit and Price (for Limit), adjust Lot (x…)/Amount, and add an Order tag.
  5. Select Overnight or Intraday for the basket.
  6. Review Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges.
  7. Execute to place the straddle or Save to keep it in your basket.

Tips: Choose actively traded strikes, set realistic limit prices, and review Funds req in the order window before placing.

Straddle not created? Ensure basket mode is ON and you tapped “Add Buy/Sell” on a strike. A leg is Pending? Move the Limit price closer or switch to Market. Insufficient funds? Add funds and recheck the footer.
