How to Enable or Disable Time‑Based One‑Time Password (TOTP) in FYERS?

Time-Based One-Time Password (TOTP) is a 6-digit code generated by an authenticator app that refreshes every 30 seconds. It adds an extra layer of security to your FYERS login. This guide explains how to enable or disable TOTP on both the FYERS App and FYERS Web, with step-by-step videos included.

Important: After you enable TOTP, use the same authenticator app where you set it up. If you uninstall or lose access to it, a 2FA reset will be required after identity verification.
Tip: Prefer Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. If available, turn on cloud backup in the authenticator for easier recovery.

Enable TOTP on FYERS App

  1. Log in to the FYERS App.
  2. Tap Menu (☰) → Profile.
  3. Open the Others section.
  4. Select External 2FA TOTP → Enable.
  5. A QR code appears.
  6. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy).
  7. Tap Add Account → Scan QR Code.
  8. Scan the FYERS QR code to link your account.
  9. Enter the 6-digit TOTP shown in the app along with your FYERS PIN.
  10. Tap Enable to complete setup.

Enable TOTP on FYERS Web

  1. Log in at https://fyers.in/web/.
  2. Click your Profile icon.
  3. Go to the Others tab.
  4. Select External 2FA TOTP → Enable.
  5. A QR code appears with setup instructions.
  6. Open your authenticator app → Add Account → Scan QR Code.
  7. Scan the QR code displayed on FYERS Web.
  8. Enter the 6-digit TOTP and your FYERS PIN.
  9. Click Enable to finish activation.

Disable TOTP on FYERS App

Keeping TOTP enabled is recommended. If you still want to disable it:

  • Log in to the FYERS App.
  • Tap Menu (☰) → Profile.
  • Scroll to the Others section.
  • Tap External 2FA TOTP → Disable.
  • Confirm by tapping Disable again when asked.

Disable TOTP on FYERS Web

  • Log in at https://fyers.in/web/.
  • Click your Profile icon.
  • Go to the Others tab.
  • Click External 2FA TOTP → Disable.
  • Confirm by clicking Disable again when asked.
