How to Create, Edit, or Delete a Watchlist Using FIA?

FIA lets you create and manage watchlists from the Markets page on FYERS using simple chat prompts. Open FIA, describe what you want (create, edit, or delete), and FIA executes the action and confirms it in the chat.

How FIA Watchlist Actions Work?

  • Create a new watchlist with selected symbols and a chosen name.
  • Edit an existing watchlist (add/remove symbols, rename the list).
  • Delete a watchlist you no longer need.

FIA confirms in chat after completing an action. If a symbol is invalid, FIA skips it and proceeds with the valid ones.

Steps to Create a Watchlist via FIA

On FYERS App

  1. Open the FYERS App and go to Markets.
  2. Tap FIA icon to open the chat panel.
  3. Type a create prompt, for example:
    • Create a watchlist named “Large Caps” with RELIANCE, TCS, INFY.
    • Make a watchlist called “Energy Pack” — add ONGC, COALINDIA, POWERGRID.
  4. Send the message.
  5. Check FIA’s confirmation that the watchlist was created and the symbols were added.

On FYERS Web

  1. Open FYERS Web (Markets page).
  2. Click FIA to open the chat.
  3. Type a create prompt (same pattern as App), e.g. Create watchlist “Large Caps” with RELIANCE, TCS, INFY.
  4. Send the message.
  5. Verify the confirmation message in FIA chat.

Steps to Edit a Watchlist via FIA

You can add/remove symbols or rename a list.

On FYERS App

  1. Open FYERS App → Markets → FIA icon.
  2. Use one of these prompts and send:
    • Add symbols: Add HDFCBANK and ITC to watchlist “Large Caps”.
    • Remove symbols: Remove INFY from watchlist “Large Caps”.
    • Rename list: Rename watchlist “Large Caps” to “Mega Caps”.
  3. Confirm the change in the FIA chat reply.

On FYERS Web

  1. Open FYERS Web → FIA.
  2. Send your edit prompt, e.g. as above (add/remove/rename).
  3. Review FIA’s confirmation.

Steps to Delete a Watchlist via FIA

Deleting a watchlist is irreversible. Ensure the list is no longer needed.

On FYERS App

  1. Open FYERS App → Markets → FIA icon.
  2. Send a delete prompt, for example: Delete the watchlist “Large Caps”.
  3. Read the confirmation in chat that the watchlist was deleted.

On FYERS Web

  1. Open FYERS Web → FIA.
  2. Type your delete prompt (same pattern), e.g. Delete watchlist “Large Caps”.
  3. Confirm that FIA shows the deletion confirmation in chat.
Use the exact watchlist name to avoid changing the wrong list; if needed, rename the target list first.
