Calculation of Stamp Duty at FYERS

How do we determine stamp duty at FYERS?

Stamp duty is charged on the value of shares being transferred. According to the Indian Stamp Act, it's applied to purchases, sales of goods, shares, futures contracts, or commodities traded via an association at prescribed rates. Historically, individual states set their stamp duty rates, leading to variations. However, from January 9th, 2020, a uniform rate has been implemented across all states, although the exact charge can differ by trading segment. For specific rates applicable to your trades, you can reference our Brokerage Calculator.
