How to Update KYC Details via a KRA

How Do I Update My KYC via a KRA?

At FYERS, we make it simple for you to keep your Know Your Customer (KYC) information up to date. If your personal details such as address, contact number, or email have changed, you can update them directly through your registered KYC Registration Agency (KRA). This ensures your investment profile remains valid and compliant with SEBI regulations.

Step-by-Step Guide to Update KYC via KRA

1. Check your registered KRA

To identify which KRA holds your record, visit the CVL KRA inquiry portal and click on ‘KYC Inquiry’. Enter your PAN to find your registered KRA and KYC status.

2. Visit the corresponding KRA portal

Once you know your KRA, log in to the correct portal to initiate your update. Here are the official KRA links:

3. Verify and update your details

  • Enter your PAN, registered mobile number, and email ID.
  • Authenticate yourself using OTPs sent to your registered contact details.
  • Review and update any outdated information such as address, contact number, or name (if applicable).

4. Upload documents if required

Depending on what you’re updating, your KRA may request supporting documents. Below are common examples:

  • Address update: Aadhaar, bank statement, or utility bill (within 3 months).
  • Name change: PAN update acknowledgment, marriage certificate, or Gazette notification.
  • Contact update: Self-attested ID proof reflecting the new information.

5. Confirmation and tracking

  • Once your update is submitted and verified, the KRA will process it within 2–3 working days.
  • You can revisit your KRA’s portal or use the CVL KYC Inquiry tool to track the updated status.
  • At FYERS, we automatically receive these updates directly from the KRA once approved. You don’t need to submit them separately to us.
Tip: Keep your registered mobile number and email active during this process, as both are required for OTP-based verification.
