How do I redeem a mutual fund from the Holdings section?

You can redeem mutual fund units directly through the FYERS platforms—either on the FYERS App (mobile) or FYERS Web. The redemption process differs slightly between the two platforms but remains simple across both. Redemption proceeds are credited to your linked bank account as per the mutual fund’s settlement timeline.

How to Redeem Mutual Funds on FYERS App

  • Open the FYERS App and go to Portfolio.
  • Tap on the Holdings tab.
  • Select the Mutual funds tab.
  • Tap the mutual fund you want to redeem. You’ll see performance and investment details.
  • Tap the Redeem button at the bottom.
  • In the redemption screen:
    • Enter the amount or units to redeem, or
    • Select Redeem all (if the redeemable amount is ₹100 or more).
  • Review the Base NAV, Applicable NAV, and Completion timeline.
  • Tap Redeem to confirm.
Funds under lock-in (e.g., ELSS) will show “Authorised to sell: 0” and the redeem button will be disabled.

How to Redeem Mutual Funds on FYERS Web

  • Log in to FYERS Web and go to Portfolio → Holdings → Mutual Funds.
  • Locate the fund you want to redeem from the list.
  • Click on the fund to expand its details panel on the right.
  • Click Redeem (orange button in the lower right).
  • In the redemption window:
    • Enter the amount or units to redeem, or
    • Use Redeem all if available.
  • Check the Base NAV, Applicable NAV, and expected Completion date.
  • Click Redeem to place the order.

Redemption is allowed only if the fund has “Authorised to sell” units greater than zero.

When Will I Get My Money?

Once the redemption order is placed, it’s forwarded to the AMC (Asset Management Company). The units are debited, and funds are credited to your bank account within the fund’s settlement cycle:

Liquid Funds: T + 1 working day
Debt Funds: T + 2 working days
Equity Funds: T + 3 working days
International Funds: T + 5 working days

You can track the applicable NAV and settlement details on the redemption screen.
