How do I modify or cancel a pending order in FYERS?

You can modify or cancel a pending Stocks & F&O order directly from the Orders section in FYERS. These actions are available only while the order is still open and has not been fully executed, cancelled, rejected, or expired.

You can modify eligible order details such as quantity or price, or cancel the order completely if you no longer want it to remain pending.

What actions are available for pending Stocks & F&O orders?

  • Modify: Update eligible details of a pending order, such as quantity, price, or supported order parameters.
  • Cancel: Cancel an open order before it is fully executed.

On FYERS App

Modify a pending order

  1. Open the FYERS App.
  2. Tap Orders from the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Go to Stocks and F&O.
  4. Open the Open tab to view pending orders.
  5. Tap the order you want to modify.
  6. The order details page opens. Tap Modify at the bottom.
  7. Update the eligible order details, such as Quantity or Price.
  8. Review the changes and tap the modification button to submit the updated order.

Cancel a pending order

  1. Go to Orders → Stocks and F&O → Open.
  2. Tap the pending order you want to cancel.
  3. On the order details page, tap Cancel.
  4. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

Modify a pending order

  1. Log in to FYERS Web.
  2. Click Orders from the top navigation bar.
  3. Select Stocks and F&O.
  4. Open the Open tab.
  5. Click the pending order you want to modify.
  6. The order details open in the right-side panel.
  7. Click Modify.
  8. Update the eligible fields, such as Quantity or Price.
  9. Review the updated details and click the modification button to submit the changes.

Cancel a pending order

  1. Go to Orders → Stocks and F&O → Open.
  2. Click the pending order you want to cancel.
  3. In the order details panel, click Cancel.
  4. Confirm the cancellation when prompted.

What if...

I cannot see the Modify option.Check the order status. Modify is available only for eligible pending orders. Fully executed, cancelled, rejected, or expired orders cannot be modified.
I cannot cancel the order.The order may already have been executed or may no longer be pending. Refresh the Orders section and check its latest status.
My modified details are not showing.Refresh the Orders section and reopen the order to check its latest details and status.
I cancelled the order but still have an open position.Cancelling a pending order does not close an existing position. Go to Portfolio → Positions and use the appropriate exit option if you want to close the position.
