How do I modify, cancel, or resume an order in FYERS?

You can manage your orders directly from the Orders section in FYERS — including modifying or cancelling stock and F&O orders, pausing or resuming smart strategies, and cancelling SIPs or IPO applications. The options available will depend on the order type and its current status.

Actions by Order Type

Order TypeAvailable Actions
Stocks & F&OModify price/quantity or cancel the open orders before execution
Smart orders (SIP, Step, Trail)Pause, edit, resume or cancel your smart orders
Mutual fund SIPsCancel SIP (modification or pause not supported)
IPO ApplicationsCancel bid if not yet acknowledged by the exchange. Modify until the IPO end date

On FYERS App

  • Tap the Orders icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  • Navigate to the order type using tabs (e.g., Open, SIP, GTT).
  • Tap on any order to expand its details.
  • Available actions will appear based on the order’s status:
    • Modify – To adjust live or pending orders
    • Cancel – To stop execution
    • Pause/Resume – For Smart SIPs and scheduled orders

FYERS App follows the same eligibility logic: you can only modify or resume orders that haven’t been fully executed or cancelled.

On FYERS Web

  • Go toOrders → choose the relevant tab (e.g., OpenGTTSmart → SIP).
  • Click on any order row to open its details on the right-hand side panel.
  • Depending on the order status, you’ll see these options at the bottom:
    • Modify: To edit quantity, price, or expiry conditions.
    • Cancel: To withdraw the order.
    • Pause: Available for SIP orders, temporarily halts execution.
    • Resume: Replaces a paused order.
  • For paused SIPs, the status changes to “Paused.” After clicking Resume, the order will switch back to “Running.”
The Modify button is only enabled if the order is in a state that allows updates (e.g., not fully filled or expired).
For recurring SIP orders, use Pause and Resume to manage frequency without deleting the entire setup.
