How do I generate CDSL TPIN in FYERS?

To authorise a sell order on FYERS without DDPI/POA, you need a valid CDSL TPIN. Use the steps below to generate a TPIN for the first time or reset it if you’ve forgotten it. Before you begin

  • Where this happens: When you choose Authorise in FYERS (from Holdings or while placing a sell order), you’ll be redirected to the CDSL portal. The CDSL steps are the same whether you start from the App, Web, or Trader.
  • What you need: Your BO ID (16-digit Demat number) and PAN. In FYERS: Profile → Account Details → Demat to find the 16-digit number.
  • DDPI/POA: If DDPI is active or POA is submitted, a TPIN isn’t required for selling. Learn more: Activate DDPI.

New user (first-time TPIN)

  1. On the CDSL page, click Forgot CDSL TPIN (used for both first-time generation and resets).
  2. Enter your BO ID (16-digit Demat number) and PAN.
  3. Enter the captcha, then click Next.
  4. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email.
  5. Click Submit to complete verification.
  6. CDSL generates a new TPIN and sends it to your registered mobile number and email.

Existing user (forgot/reset TPIN)

  1. On the CDSL page, click Forgot CDSL TPIN.
  2. Enter your BO ID (16-digit Demat number) and PAN.
  3. Enter the captcha, then click Next.
  4. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number and email.
  5. Click Submit to complete the reset.
  6. CDSL generates a new TPIN and sends it to your registered mobile number and email.
