How do I create an automation with FIA using a plain-English prompt?

FIA lets you create a strategy in FYERS Automate by describing your trading rules in plain English. You can provide the complete strategy at once or build it progressively with FIA.

Once the required information is available, FIA builds the automation on the canvas for you to review, backtest, and, if you choose, deploy.

How to create an automation using FIA

  1. Open the Automate canvas.
  2. Select Use FIA.
  3. Choose Create automation.
  4. Enter your strategy in plain English.
  5. If FIA needs more information, answer the follow-up questions.
  6. Review the automation FIA builds on the canvas.
  7. Make any required changes through FIA or directly on the canvas.
  8. Validate the completed workflow.
  9. Backtest the strategy using historical data.
  10. Review the backtest before deciding whether to deploy the automation.

Can I build the strategy one step at a time?

Yes.

If you do not want to provide the entire strategy in one prompt, select Build It Step by Step With FIA.

FIA can guide the conversation through the information needed to build the workflow. When enough information is available for a part of the strategy, it can add that logic to the canvas and continue with the next requirement.

You can also use the complete-prompt flow when you already know all the rules you want to automate.

Example

You could describe a strategy such as:

“Create an intraday NIFTY strategy that enters after a bullish breakout with momentum confirmation, limits my maximum loss and exits all positions before market close.”

If important details required to build that strategy are missing, FIA can ask for them before completing the automation.

Do I need to know the names of Automate nodes?

No.

Describe the trading logic you want. FIA maps the request to supported Automate components.

If you specifically want a particular component—such as Expression Builder or a particular trigger—you can mention it in your prompt.
