How do I calculate the funding amount and the margin paid?

How do I calculate the funding amount and the margin paid?

You can calculate the funding amount for an MTF position by comparing the total MTF position value with the margin amount paid by the client. FYERS shows both values in the Funds section on Web and App, which helps you understand how much was funded and how much margin was contributed.

Please note that the Cash Intraday/MTF Margin field also includes margin used for equity intraday positions.

On FYERS App

  • Go to Funds → Total Funds.
  • Under MTF Funded Amount, check the total position value in MTF.
  • Tap Funds Utilised → Cash Intraday/MTF Margin to view the margin paid by the client.
  • Subtract the Cash Intraday/MTF Margin value from the MTF Funded Amount to calculate the funded amount.

On FYERS Web

  • Go to Account Manager → Funds.
  • Under MTF Funded Amount, check the total position value in MTF.
  • Then, check Cash Intraday/MTF Margin to view the margin paid by the client.
  • Subtract the Cash Intraday/MTF Margin value from the MTF Funded Amount to calculate the funded amount.

How the calculation works

Use this formula to calculate the funded amount:

Funded amount = MTF Funded Amount - Cash Intraday/MTF Margin

The Cash Intraday/MTF Margin section is not limited only to MTF. It also includes the margin utilized for equity intraday positions.
