How Do I Add the New Segment to My Existing Trading Account?

You can add new trading segments (Currency, F&O, Commodity) to your FYERS account using the FYERS App or FYERS Web. The process involves enabling the segment, uploading income proof, and completing Aadhaar e-sign.

On FYERS App

Steps to Add a New Segment

  1. Log in to the FYERS App.
  2. Tap Menu (☰) → Profile.
  3. Open Segments.
  4. Under Inactive segments, enable the segment you want (e.g., Futures & Options or Commodity).
  5. Upload an accepted income proof document.
  6. Complete the Aadhaar e-sign on NSDL using OTP.

On FYERS Web

Steps to Add a New Segment

  1. Log in at https://fyers.in/web/ (Profile page: Profile & Personal).
  2. Click your Profile icon.
  3. Select Segments from the left panel.
  4. Under Inactive segments, toggle the desired segment.
  5. Upload an accepted income proof document.
  6. Complete Aadhaar e-sign on NSDL using OTP.

Accepted Income Proof Documents

  • Income Tax Return (ITR) acknowledgment
  • Net worth certificate (issued by a Chartered Accountant)
  • Bank statement (last 6 months)
  • Demat holdings statement
Important: Ensure your Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number before starting e-sign. Mismatches can delay activation.
Tip: Upload clear, recent documents. Blurry or outdated statements are the most common reason for rejections.
