How Can I Pledge and Unpledge in FYERS (Web & App)?

Pledging in FYERS lets you unlock collateral margin from your existing holdings without selling them. The pledged value (after haircut) can be used for trading in derivatives or to meet margin requirements. You can later unpledge your holdings when you no longer need collateral margin.

Pledging on FYERS App

  1. Open the FYERS App → Portfolio → Holdings.
  2. Tap Pledge.
  3. Select the stock(s), enter the quantity, and tap Pledge.
  4. Review details on the Pledge Confirmation screen.
  5. Tap Submit to begin CDSL verification.
  6. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.

Note: ₹5 is charged per pledge request.

How to Pledge Stocks on FYERS Web

  1. Go to Portfolio → Holdings → Pledge.
  2. Select the stock(s) and enter the quantity.
  3. Click Pledge Holdings.
  4. Review details on the confirmation screen.
  5. Click Submit to begin CDSL authorisation.
  6. Enter the OTP to complete verification.

What happens after pledging?

  • CDSL confirms pledge status within about 10 minutes after OTP verification.
  • Pledged quantity appears under the Pledged tab on the next trading day.
  • Collateral margin becomes available on the next trading day.
  • You can track it under My Account → Funds → Collaterals or in the History tab.

Unpledging on FYERS App

  1. Open FYERS App → Portfolio → Holdings → Pledged.
  2. Select the stock(s) and tap Unpledge.
  3. Review the Unpledge Confirmation screen and tap Confirm.
  4. The Unpledge Initiated screen will show details and indicate when collateral will be removed.
  5. Track progress in the History tab.

Note: Unpledging is free of charge.

Unpledging on FYERS Web

  1. Log in → Portfolio → Holdings → Pledge → Pledged.
  2. Select the stock(s) and enter the quantity.
  3. Click Unpledge holdings.
  4. Track the status in the History tab.

Important rules and timings

  • Unpledge requests placed before 3:30 PM are processed within 24 to 48 working hours.
  • You do not need to unpledge to sell. Pledged shares can be sold directly.
  • Unpledging is allowed only for unused pledged margin. Add funds or square off positions if margin is in use.
  • Pledge and unpledge requests can be placed only between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
  • Requests after 3:30 PM or on weekends cannot be submitted.
Collateral is released only after successful OTP verification with CDSL. Always check pledge and unpledge status under the History tab.
