How Can I Customise My Order Settings in FYERS?

FYERS lets you customise the Order Window to save your preferred order settings for different product types. These preferences reduce repetitive inputs and help you place orders using the configurations you commonly use.

You can customise Intraday, Overnight/Delivery, MTF, GTT, and Smart order preferences and select the product type that should appear by default in the Order Window.

Order Window Customisation Options

The Customisation section under Order Window settings includes:

  • Intraday: Configure default Intraday order preferences.
  • Overnight/Delivery: Enable custom preferences for Overnight or Delivery orders.
  • MTF: Enable custom preferences for Margin Trading Facility orders.
  • Default Product Type: Select the product type displayed by default in the Order Window.
  • GTT: Enable custom Good Till Triggered order preferences.
  • Smart: Configure preferences for supported Smart order features.

Intraday Order Settings

Open Intraday under Customisation and enable the toggle. You can then configure the following preferences:

  • Order Type: Select the preferred Intraday order type.
  • Price: Select Market or Limit.
  • Trigger: Enable and configure a trigger value where applicable.
  • Stop-loss: Enable and configure the preferred stop-loss value.
  • Target: Enable and configure the preferred target value.
  • Position sizing: Enable and configure the preferred position-sizing rule.
  • Smart Order: Enable and configure the available Smart Order preference.

Click Save after configuring the required settings. Click Reset to restore the default Intraday configuration.

Overnight/Delivery Order Settings

Open Overnight/Delivery and enable the toggle to apply your custom Overnight/Delivery preferences in the Order Window.

When the toggle is disabled, the Order Window uses the default Overnight/Delivery settings. Click Save after changing the toggle.

MTF Order Settings

Open MTF and enable the toggle to apply your custom MTF preferences in the Order Window.

When the toggle is disabled, the Order Window uses the default MTF settings. Click Save after changing the toggle.

Default Product Type

The Default Product Type setting determines which product type is selected automatically when you open the Order Window.

You can select:

  • Overnight/Delivery
  • Intraday
  • MTF

Select the required product type and click Save.

GTT Order Settings

Open GTT and enable the toggle to apply your custom GTT preferences in the Order Window.

When the toggle is disabled, the Order Window uses the system settings for GTT orders. Click Save after changing the toggle.

Smart Order Settings

Open Smart to configure the available Smart order preferences:

  • Limit
  • Trailing SL
  • Step
  • SIP

Open the required setting, configure its preference, and save the changes.

Position-sizing customisation in the Order Window does not affect Position Exit behaviour.

On FYERS App

  1. Tap the Menu icon.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Order Window.
  4. Open the product type or order preference you want to customise.
  5. Enable the required setting and configure the available preferences.
  6. Tap Save to apply the changes.

On FYERS Web

  1. Log in to FYERS Web .
  2. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Go to Settings.
  4. Select Order Window under General.
  5. Open the setting you want to customise.
  6. Configure the required preferences and click Save.

What If...

ScenarioSolution
I keep a product customisation toggle disabled.The Order Window uses the default or system settings for that product type.
I change a setting but do not click or tap Save.The change is not applied. Reopen the setting, configure it again, and select Save.
I select Reset.The custom preferences on that screen are restored to their default configuration.
I enable Overnight/Delivery, MTF, or GTT customisation.The saved custom settings for the selected product type are applied when you open the Order Window.
I select a different Default Product Type.The selected product type appears by default when you open the Order Window.
My saved settings are not reflected in the Order Window.Confirm that the relevant toggle is enabled and that you selected Save. Reopen the Order Window and check the settings again.
The settings still do not update or an error appears.Contact FYERS Support for assistance.
