How Can a New Client of FYERS Add Nominee Details?

When you open a new Demat account with FYERS, nominee details are a mandatory part of the account opening process as per SEBI regulations. Every client must either add a nominee or provide a declaration of opting out.

Adding a Nominee During Account Opening

You can provide nominee details during the account opening flow on FYERS Web or the FYERS App:

  • Enter nominee details such as full name, relationship, and date of birth (if minor).
  • Upload supporting documents, if required (e.g., guardian details for minor nominees).
  • Complete the eSign process with your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
  • Once verified, the nominee is successfully registered for your Demat account.

If You Missed Adding Nominee While Opening the Account

If your account is already active and you haven’t added a nominee during onboarding, you can still update the nominee details anytime. Please refer to this article for the process.

As per SEBI’s mandate, adding a nominee or providing a declaration is compulsory.
