Do I need to pledge/authorise my MTF holdings?
No, manual pledge authorisation is no longer required for MTF holdings on FYERS. All eligible MTF positions are automatically pledged by the system from the backend.
How MTF Authorisation Works Now
- Automatic Pledge: Once you buy a stock under the MTF product type, FYERS will automatically initiate the pledge process on your behalf.
- No OTP Required: You are no longer required to enter an OTP between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
- Seamless Experience: This update ensures uninterrupted access to MTF while reducing manual steps and risk of position misclassification.
What If…

You previously used OTP authorisation | The process is now deprecated and no longer necessary. |
You face a margin shortfall | Ensure the stock is eligible for MTF and the system has pledged it; contact support if in doubt. |
You're unsure if the pledge occurred | Check your holdings in the FYERS platform or verify from the pledge ledger. |
