Can I place Market & Limit orders together in a Basket from the Option Chain on FYERS?
Yes. On the FYERS App, each leg in the Multi Order Window (MOW) has its own Market/Limit selector. You can mix Market and Limit legs in the same basket and execute them together,
directly from the Options Chain.
After you add two or more legs, the MOW lets you review quantities, prices, funds, and charges on one screen, then Execute immediately or Save the strategy to your Basket for later.
Explanation
- Where it works: FYERS App (Android/iOS) via Options Chain → Multi Order Window.
- Per-leg control: Set each leg to Market or Limit independently. If you choose Limit, enter a valid Price.
- Execution: When you tap Execute, legs are sent in a sequence designed to target the lowest peak margin. Post-submission, each leg shows its status: Executed / Pending / Rejected.
- Save for later: Tap Save to push the mixed Market/Limit strategy to your Basket.
How to place a mixed Market + Limit basket (FYERS App)
- Open the Options Chain for your instrument.
- Turn ON the Multi Order Window toggle.
- Tap B or S on two or more strikes to add legs.
- Tap the bottom banner (e.g., “2 legs added →”) to open the Multi Order Window.
- For each leg, tap Edit → choose Market or Limit. If Limit, enter a Price → Apply.
- Select Overnight or Intraday at the top of the window.
- Review Funds req / Funds avl / Net premium / Charges. Use Add funds if a shortfall is shown.
- Tap Execute to place, or Save to keep it in your Basket for later.
Tips & warnings
- Limit legs need a price: You must enter a Price for any leg set to Limit.
- Sequencing for margin: Legs are executed in a margin-optimised sequence to reduce peak margin usage.
- Charges preview: Open Charges to see an itemised estimate before submitting.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t tap Execute: Fix Insufficient funds or add the missing Limit Price on any Limit leg.
- A Limit leg didn’t fill: Edit the leg to adjust the Price or switch to Market, then retry.
- MOW not visible: Ensure the MOW toggle on the Options Chain is ON and that you’ve added two or more legs.
