Can I edit or remove symbols in a basket?
Yes. You can change (edit) or remove a symbol from a basket on both the FYERS App and FYERS Trader before you place the basket.
FYERS App
- Open Orders → Baskets, then open your basket.
- Tap the symbol you want to change. A Quick actions panel opens.
- To edit: tap Modify, change the details (quantity, price, order type/product), and save.
- To remove: tap Delete and confirm. The symbol is removed from the basket.
- Check the updated Funds req. and place the basket when ready.
FYERS Trader
- Click the Baskets icon on the top bar.
- Select your basket from the list.
- Click the symbol you want to change. Action icons appear on that row (edit ✎, clone ⎘, delete 🗑).
- To edit: click the edit icon and update the details, then save.
- To remove: click the delete (trash) icon and confirm.
- Review the margin/funds, then click Place when ready.
Important: You can only change or remove pending or rejected items. Filled items can’t be edited.
Note: Every change updates the basket’s Funds req. Recheck it before placing the basket.
What if…

| An item is already filled | Filled items can’t be edited or removed. Edit only the remaining pending/rejected lines and place again. |
| Item is partially filled | You can change or delete the unfilled quantity only. Review funds before placing again. |
| After edits, funds are not enough | Add funds or reduce quantities/prices. Ensure Funds avl. ≥ updated Funds req. |
| Deleted a symbol by mistake | Add the symbol back as a new line with the right details, then place the basket. |
| Item keeps getting rejected | Check common causes: insufficient funds/margin, price band, freeze quantity, RMS checks. Adjust and try again. |
